My Summer Wardrobe

About 2 years ago, I wrote about minimalism, and how I had decluttered my closet and minimized down to around 120 things. Several people asked me to do a post on what things I had chosen to keep, so here I am….2 years later…. Better late than never..?

Anyways, this isn’t a post about everything that I own, because I need to minimize again. As I pack for college, I’ll do another post then on what I’m taking out to LETU.

This is my summer closet haul, and my summer wardrobe capsule. (If shorts and T-shirts can count as a wardrobe capsule…)

All that to say, here are the clothes in my closet for Summer 2K17.

Processed with VSCO with c2 preset
11 T-Shirts

5 “nice” shirts (basically my only shirts that aren’t a t-shirt.)

5 Pair of Shorts (Only 4 are pictured because I was wearing one..)

5 Dresses & 1 Skirt

I’m not a naturally neat person, so minimalism is how I compensate. It’s much easier to contain 30 unfolded pieces of clothing that 300 pieces. Seriously, I folded these clothes just for the benefit of the picture, so please don’t think I’ve got it all figured out.. I’m just good at throwing things away. (I had to get that out there before my mom or Avery commented on here and roasted me..)

My winter pieces are up in the attic, so they’re not in my way. This makes my summer super easy, cleaning and laundry are a breeze, and I don’t have to stress about what I’m going to wear!

What are your thoughts? Do you want to try out a summer closet haul? What are your biggest fears for going minimalist?
